Exclamation Blocking an email address in Gmail? (SOLVED)
Hello all,Smile

My Gmail account continues to get unsolicited mail from a certain person using a hotmail account, and its driving me crazy.

I have used the "creat filters for all the messages recived & followed the steps as Gmail explain, but these messages keep getting throughExclamation

All mail from this person is SPAM, unwanted and unsolicited, the words used in the subject is "No subject" and mostly contains the words "buy cheapest drugs, go to this blogspot etc, all rubbish.

Is the anyway i can completely block this sender

As, allways any help appreciatedSad

If it wasnt for this site and the people on it, i would have chucked away my Computer long ago ! and i would never have bothered with it again!!!!

Hey Puter Smile

If you using gmail and your saying the email always comes from the same address then you should be able to create filter in Gmail to delete it when it arrives, alternatively you can mark it as spam and it should never come back again.

Yes Tech', this is exactly what i have done on a number of occassions but mail from this person keeps getting thru and i have to create a new filter, the persons address has not changed either?.

Hope you will be able to see the filters from the photo attached?
Hopefully i have deleted my sensetive information, if anything can be seen, could someone let me know ..cheersExclamation

Can you try attaching the screenshot again puter? as it isnt clear when I view it.

Filtering on the 'from address' should work.

You said

That is a little clearer but still somewhat garbled (could be this sites attachment process though so dont worry)

I just thought that this could be a case of them hiding the real email address they are sending from

When you next see on of the emails, open it up and next to their email address you will see a link saying "show details"

   

click it and then you will see their proper email address, this is the address you will need to block with your filters

Having followed the above instructions, rechecking the filters and allowing enough time to pass to see if i still recieve more unwanted mail.......i think we have cracked it monkeysBig Grin
