copyright on your own photo's..how?
Hello all,
Im not sure if this is copyright or what, but if you have photo's that you have personally taken yourslef and would like to protect them form being used elsewhere, is there a programme that you can use to get this desired effect:
"where a logo or name can be added throughout the picture

An example of this would be:

I didnt want to add the picture in case there was an infringment using it on this site?

Would apprciate any help / suggestions / cheaper alternatives?
cheers

What your looking for is some way of adding a watermark to the image.

Which can be done simply with Paint or if your prefer paint.net by simply typing a word over the top of the image.

However there is software out there that will just do the job of adding a watermark. I haven't used any of it though so wouldnt know what to recommend.

I personally use photoshop and a little batch script to add a watermark.

Techmonkey, 'ello mate.
Ive been trying for a few days now to be able to get a watermark using "Paint.net" which i downloaded, and "for the life of me i can get round it :? "

So ive tried looking at paint but im still coming up against a brick wall :twisted

Any chance when you got a spare 5 mins you could just drop us a line to let me know what i should be looking for?

Hey puter,

i can recommend this free little application.
FastStone Photo Resizer

* Convert and Rename images in batch mode
* Support JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, TIFF and JPEG2000
* Resize, crop, change color depth, apply color effects, add text, watermark and border effects
* Rename images with sequential number
* Support folder/non-folder structure
* Load and save settings
* And much more...

http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm

should do exactly what you want

For watermarking you want to :
Tick use advanced options, then there is a watermark tab and many options.

It will ask you for a .png file which is your watermark. If you dont have one or cant create one, reply with the text you would like on it and i will create one for you.
