Monitor failing on me
I've had my monitor for about 6 years, then about a year ago the display started flickering and having phases of yellow tints on the screen. I got fed up and used my laptop only (I had used the monitor on a dual/extended display mode). I decided to see if thing were different a few weeks ago and it was fine, but within the past week or so it's back to it's old tricks. The pins in the cable are straight so I assume it's not the cable quality, also because I used a different cable and still the same problem. If anyone can give me advice I'd be over the moon. Dawn

RE: Monitor failing on me
On the basis it's 6 years old, have you considered that it might be just plain broke?
There's really only 2 tests: 1) plug in a different monitor to the same output source 2) plug in a different output source to the same monitor If scenario 1 is fine and 2 is bad, then it's busted. RE: Monitor failing on me
Thanks for the advice Neko, I agree I had to get a new monitor. A forum member kindly helped me out! Just thought I would reply to say thanks for the advice
