Motherboard Driver Issues Audio
Hey, Heres the deal..
Im not getting any sound. This is a brand new PC ordered from CyberpowerPC, all the drivers installed fine except for the Xonar Essence ST PCI audio card driver. I got an error saying the Soundcard needed more power and that i should connect it to the power supply. Everything looks connected though when i open the case, but im not super savvy when it comes to wiring.. So im taking it to geek squad when i have the cash but in the meantime i figured id use the on-board audio of my motherboard. My speakers are hooked up correctly but still the computer wont read any devices. ("No audio output device is enabled") In the device manager there is a small yellow exclamation point under the 'Multimedia Audio Controller' Windows says the driver is out of date but cant find it on the web. I tried looking myself and even installed the latest audio driver for my Motherboard model, but no go. Do i have to change something in the BIOS? Please Help! thanks! Razz -Drew Here are my system specs: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 Processor: Intel core i7 2600k CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.70Ghz RAM: 16gb OS: Windows 7 professional 64bit Sound card: Xonnar Essence ST PCI audio card Power Supply: 1,050 Watts - Corsair HX1050W 80 Plus Power Supply (not totally sure) Temp is average 30 - 36 c (Except when gaming) |
