PC stutters, internet (only on this pc) dies at same time
I have just built a new tower, and It worked fine for a few days. However lately it has been doing what I can only describe as a stutter. It freezes, but only momentarily. Any audio that is going gets looped very fast, the screen freezes, and than the whole thing kinda catches up with itself. While this is going on, the internet connection just dies, like slower than dial up. If i am playing a game while this happens the MS goes up to like 4000ms up from about 29ms.
This is what I am using. Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 - With Coolermaster V8 evga 132-ck-nf79 motherboard 4g Patriot Viper Xtreme Series 1600mhz DDR3 Geforce gt 240 Seagate barracuda st3808 80g HD I've been monitoring all the temps and nothing is running hot. Not even close. I checked the voltage on my ram and its at the recommended. There are no events that seem to correspond with this happening. It seems to be random, doesn't matter what I am doing. I've asked every tech savvy person I know, including an IT for the Army and no one has any clue ![]() Please help me |

RE: PC stutters, internet (only on this pc) dies at same time
I had a similar sounding error in the past, and the problem ended up being that the graphics card drivers were out of date, but I hadn't been prompted for an update. The only difference being that Windows popped up an info box telling me the graphics card had failed and recovered. Since you don't mention getting any error message, it might not be the same issue, but it might be worth a try googling for drivers for your graphics card.
