Sadness in Black and White...
Is it just me or do black and white photos often emphasize the sadness of the subject -- even in landscapes?

The abandoned playground of a local school last October:

The beach of a local park lake last October:

Oh, you guys are awesome... THANK YOU!!

I see, Shultz, that you have a dA account so I'll be checking it out shortly, and will leave comments there as well. Yes, I'm prone to photographing things like benches and lightposts, but I haven't been able to get out to take pictures in months (those October pics were from the last time I was out with my camera). I'm getting the bug again, though... so I'll be on the "lookout" for new subjects soon.

KiD, do you have a photo collection online anywhere?
EDIT: Never mind.. .I've found you! (I suppose I should be reading other past posts here since you've probably already answered this...) I'll find some time soon to look through the forum, I promise.

I'm off to dA now! :)
