Server 2008 Terminal Services Error
Hi Monkeys
we are getting an error with one of the Terminal servers on a client site. The terminal server is part of a farm which is comprised of Server 2008 Enterprise servers with a Server 2008R2 session broker. The servers are a mix or virtual and physical, the current one with an issue is physical on HP DL360 G7 hardware. The error we are getting is when a client tries to connect if they are using MSTSC they just get a failed to connect error after being asked for username and password. When I try to connect with mRemote I get returned error code 2308. There is nothing in the application and system logs relevant to this issue, in troubleshooting I have reset the IPv4 and Winsock connections and bound terminal services to only use the live NIC team. I have also confirmed that I can access the server via SMB, ping, telnet on to port 3389 and also onpen a socket layer connection on port 3389. The only thing I can't do is actually establish a RDP session. Thanks Dave After some further troubleshooting I have now found that it is only when using SSL that the connection fails. If I set the Security layer for the connection to "RDP Security Layer" the connection works fin but if it is either Auto Negotiate or SSL the connection fails[/i] Follow me on Twitter My Blog Follow me on mFlow Gamertag - Davotronic 5000 |

RE: Server 2008 Terminal Services Error
A terminal server is a hardware device/server, that provides terminals like PCs, printers, and other devices with a common connection point to a local or wide area network.

RE: Server 2008 Terminal Services Error
We can host multiple and simultaneous other user sessions through the terminal server and we can directly host the multi-user desktops running on a different type of windows based hardware.
