TechMonkeys 2^nd Line I.T. Support Engineer (Wakefield)

TechMonkeys are a Wakefield based “Managed I.T. Service Provider”, we provide our customers with a single point of contact for all their I.T. problems. TechMonkeys support over 300 end users, ranging from builders, car hire providers, and financial planners to telecomm providers.  

TechMonkeys are looking for a 2^nd Line I.T. Support engineer to join our fast growing team on an initial 12 month contract

KEY SKILLS: Networking, Windows Server, Windows 7, MS Office, Active Directory, TCP/IP, Office365

We are looking for a confident, technical, and motivated communicator who is pro-active and understands the need for a high level of customer care. Support will be provided both face to face and over the phone so you must have prior experience of working on a busy helpdesk and visiting customer sites.  You must have experience in support a variety of customers and be able to hit the ground running in this busy support role.

Reporting to the Technical Director the successful candidate will be part of our 2^nd line I.T. support team fixing general I.T. faults passed on by 1st line helpdesk technicians. Faults vary from general PC hardware and software faults.

Required

• Experience in 2^nd Line I.T. Support role

• Customer service and excellent telephone manner

• Good customer relation skills

• Excellent I.T. skills (Windows, Office, Internet, Servers, PC Hardware)

• Experience of Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012

• Experience of Microsoft Exchange Server

• Logical troubleshooting skills.

• Attention to detail

• Punctual

• Full UK Driving License

Location and package

• Immediate start

• £16,000 - £20,000 pa depending on experience

• Based out of Wakefield office (J40 M1) but some driving required

• Private health care

• Mobile Phone / Laptop
